This course is designed to enhance student’s ability in using technology for creating teaching media, used for foreign language teaching in online or offline setting.

Learning Outcomes

Course participants will be expected to demonstrate the following learning outcomes on completion of the course:

  1. Create an audio-visual story
  2. Create artful story telling
  3. Post images with text on a social media as a teaching material
  4. Create an online quiz
  5. Create a crossword puzzle
  6. Create an online comic
  7. Create a recording video for teaching

This course is a compulsory for all in-service teacher or English Education students of IKIP PGRI Semarang. This course provides students with some theoretical and practical knowledge of instructional media covering various kinds of media, skills of selecting, developing, operating interactive and inexpensive visuals for EFL classes, using printed materials including songs, and multimedia help the students give variation of media used in language teaching. 

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the course, the students will understand the concept Media for ELT, the operation and the roles of multimedia, word processing, and other computer applications for integrating audio, video, text, animation and graphics into teaching activities. Hopefully, after completing the course, in-service teacher will be able to design computerized or non-computerized media for their ELT classes.
