Course Descriptions

This course is designed to equip the students with the ability to design teaching materials on the basis of the school curriculum.

Learning Outcomes

At the end of the course, the students are able to:

Explain the course objectives and the standard of teaching material development (S8,PP1,KU1,KK1)

Explain the principles of teaching material development based on the school curriculum (S8, PP1, KU5, KK9)

Explain the criteria for textbook evaluation (S9, PP2,KU1, KK1)

Explain the role and design of instructional materials  (S9, PP3, KU1. KK2)

Demonstrate knowledge and ability how to design teaching material for listening skill (S9, PP13, KU5, KK2)

  4. The role and design of instructional materials, authentic VS created material, text book , and Evaluating textbook
  5. Listening as process: learning activities for self-appraisal and regulation. Some Principles in designing teaching materials for listening skill
  6. Materials to develop the speaking skill
  7. A principle approach to content-based materials development for reading
  8. A genre-based approach materials for writing
