Course Descriptions

The course is designed to enable  students to understand about affixes and to form words by using prefixes and suffixes

Learning Outcomes

At the end of the lectures, the students are able to understand  word formations and  to use them, both in spoken and written communication, correctly and responsibly

I be able to understand the description of lexical studies 1 materials and the requirements of the lecture   introduction  
II be able to give the definition of word classes, function words, and the differences between word classes and function words function words & word classes definitions of word classes & function words, differences between word classes & function words
III be able to identify function words & use the function words in sentences function words articles, auxiliaries, determiners, conjunctions
IV be able to identify function words & use the function words in sentences function words intensifiers, prepositions, pronouns
V be able to identify class 1 & 2 words (nouns & verbs), to make sentences by using those words word classes classes 1 & 2 words
VI be able to identify class 3 & 4 words (adjectives & adverbs), to make sentences by using those words word classes classes 3 & 4 words
VII be able to understand the affixes, to give the differences between inflectional & derivational affixes   affixes inflectional and derivational affixes
