Course Descriptions

Fundamental Grammar is given to the first semester students as a basic grammar. It talks about the basic pattern of the simple sentences in different tenses and auxiliaries which is necessary in conducting comprehensible and appropriate everyday communication both in written and spoken form. To strengthen students’ understanding, materials are presented in structural exercises.

 Construct simple sentences using function words, determiner, auxiliaries in simple sentences (S8, PP 14, KU 1, KK 3)

CPMK 3

Construct simple sentences in different types of sentences (declarative, interrogative, imperative, and exclamatory sentences) (S8, PP 14, KU 1, KU 8, KK2)

CPMK 4

Construct simple sentences in present tenses (present tense, present continuous tense, present future tense) (S9,PP 14, KU 1, KU 8, KK 1)

CPMK 5

Construct simple sentences in simple past tense using be, regular and irregular verbs (S9, KU2, KK1, KK3, PP6, PP 14)

CPMK 6

Construct simple sentences in past continuous tense and past future tense(S9, KU2, KK1, KK3, PP6, PP 14)

CPMK 7

Communicate (both in written and in spoken forms) in simple sentence pattern (KU1, KK 1, KK 3, PP6, PP 13, PP 14)
