Course Descriptions

Discourse Studies is devoted to the investigation of the relationship between form and function in verbal communication, texts, interaction, and a broad implementation of language use across different contexts and culture.

Learning Outcomes

: Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to:

a. Have the understanding on how discourse applies in real life contexts, such as conversation or educational contexts.

b. Able to conduct analysis of discourse across different settings and social conventions

c. Implement the theories of discourse in personal and professional life, which derives from their understanding of what discourse texts are, and the roles of those involved in the process.
