Course Descriptions

This course is designed to train students in understanding English vocabularies through English word formation (content words and function words), affixation, phrasal verbs, and English idioms by applying them in sentences appropriately and logically in various text types in both spoken and written texts for the general and specific contexts or language registers.

Learning Outcomes

Capaian Pembelajaran Mata Kuliah (CPMK)

Elaborate the function words and content words clearly and logically (S6, KU1, KU2, KK3, PP14)

 

Apply function and content words in positively both spoken and written by following the existed cultural norm and value (S8, KU2, KK1 ,PP13, PP14)

 

Apply the concept of English prefixes in sentences used in daily life context innovatively (S8, KU2, KK1, PP13)

 

Apply the concept of English suffixes in sentences used in daily life context innovatively (S8, KU8, KK1, PP13, PP14)

 

 

Adapt the use of English phrasal verbs in positively both spoken and written by following the existed cultural norm and value (S8, KU2, KK1, KK3, P13)

 

Adapt the use of English idioms positively both spoken and written by following the existed cultural norm and value (S8, KU2, KK1,KK3, P13)
