English for Specific Purposes: Economics is the need-oriented aspect of the process of learning that enhances communication because the use of the language is forced by the situation, and in the case of economic students, communication becomes less constrained since they are already ‘in the field’. Economic students can express their ideas more freely when the subject matter discussed is about economics. It also develops vocabulary, structure, communicative and writing focuses in the area of economics matters.
Learning OutcomesStudents are able to master the basic knowledge of English in intermediate level and they can develop three aspects of students’ language skills; namely, speaking, reading, and writing.
