Course Descriptions

This course will give students a better idea of material development  within the English Language Teaching in both Junior and Senior High School .  The  students will work together in pairs and groups, evaluating, adapting and designing materials which are  required in 20013 curriculum. Some of the outputs from this course will be included in participants' assignments. Participants will be expected to  do further work on materials development tasks . It is also recommended that during the course participants  look carefully at published materials (eg. E-book published by government)  as a source of ideas on content, topics, task types, layout and design, methodology and syllabus.    The assignment for this course can be in the form of a piece of professional work in English language teaching materials for students of High School.

Learning Outcomes

At the end of this course the students are expected to produce a set of teaching materials which are likely used for teaching English at various levels: elementary, junior hing and senior high schools.
