Course Descriptions

This course aimed to develop reading skills in skimming, scanning, making inferences, referencing,, identifying author’s purpose and tone, summarizing, and identifying pattern of organization consist of 3000 – 5000 words of vocabularies.

Learning Outcomes

CPMK1 prepare the reading materials including references/books. (S8, S9, KU1, KU2, KK1, PP1,PP6)

CPMK2 determine spesific information in variuos texts (S8, S9, KU1, KU2, KK1, PP1, PP6)

CPMK3 determine topic and main idea of the texts correctly (S9, KU1, KU2, KK1, PP1, PP6) CPMK4 determine the meaning of figurative expression of idioms and phrasal verbs in the texts (S8, S9, KU1, KU2, KK1, PP1, PP6)

CPMK5 draw conclusions from information given in the text (S8, S9, KU1, KU2, KK1, PP1, PP6)

CPMK6 identify a writer's implied purpose and attitude of text. (S8, S9, KU1, KU2, KK1, PP1, PP6)

CPMK7 identify the patterns of organization of the texts by its transitions (S8, S9, KU1, KU2, KK1, PP1, PP6) CPMK8 paraphrase or summarize the texts (S9, KU1, KU2, KK1, PP1, PP6)
