Course Descriptions

English Grammar 1 is given to the first semester students as a basic grammar. It talks about the basic pattern of the simple sentences in different tenses and auxiliaries which is necessary in conducting comprehensible and appropriate everyday communication both in written and spoken form. To strengthen students’ understanding, materials are presented in structural exercises.

Learning Outcomes

After taking grammar 1 course, students are able to:

CPMK1

Understand the basic pattern of simple sentences in different tenses(S8, S9, KK3, PP6,

CPMK2

Know the pattern of simple sentencesin different types of sentences (declarative, interrogative, imperative, and exclamatory sentences) (S9, KU2, KK1, KK3, PP6, PP 14)

CPMK 3

Know the pattern of simple sentences in present tenses (present tense, present continuous tense, present future tense) (S9, KU2, KK1, KK3, PP6, PP 14)

CPMK 4

Know the pattern of simple sentences in past tenses (simple past tense, past continuous tense, past future tense) (S9, KU2, KK1, KK3, PP6, PP 14)

CPMK 5

Know the pattern of simple sentences using auxilliaries (S9, KU2, KK1, KK3, PP6, PP 14)

CPMK 6

Communicate (both in written and in spoken forms) in simple sentence pattern(KU2, KU 10, KK 1, KK 10, PP6, PP 13, PP 14)
